The SILVA Ranger Set of 28 Compasses is designed for group activities involving orienteering, navigation and topographic map reading. The set combines 28 individual SILVA Ranger compasses with a practical protective carry case, making it easy to store, transport and organise the equipment.

The SILVA Ranger is a transparent-baseplate compass designed for straightforward and reliable navigation with maps. The transparent baseplate allows the user to see the map while taking a bearing, making it easier to determine direction and plan routes.

The compass features a DryFlex™ rubber grip that provides a comfortable and secure hold. An integrated magnifying lens helps users read small map symbols and details, while the built-in measuring scales make it easy to calculate distances on a map.

A declination scale is integrated into the compass capsule to assist with adjusting bearings for magnetic declination. Luminous markings make the compass easier to use in low-light conditions.

Each compass is supplied with a detachable safety-release lanyard. The protective carry case features individual compartments for all 28 compasses, helping keep the equipment organised while protecting it during transportation and storage.

The set is particularly suitable for schools, instructors, hiking and outdoor clubs, scouting organisations, sports clubs and group orienteering courses.

The MS (Magnetic South) version is designed for use in the Southern Magnetic Hemisphere.
