Visually, this made-in-Italy product is characterized by the gold-colored graphics and the special anniversary logo, while technically it has all the positive features that road cyclists appreciate so much about the P Zero Race.

TechBELT Road
High-performance carcass structure with an additional layer of highly cut-resistant fabric under the tread, providing excellent puncture protection in a wide range of conditions. The combination of this layer and the carcass plies provides excellent efficiency in terms of rolling resistance and weight.

PZero SmarTUBE tube

With the new SmarTUBE PZero for road bikes, Pirelli makes the technical developments of the professional cycling world available to everyday riders. The tube has been made of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU),making it up to 70% lighter and 50% more space-saving when rolled up than a comparable butyl tube.

Small and super light: the Pirelli SmarTUBE PZero for road bikes

It reduces the rotating mass exactly where it counts the most: namely at the wheels, which makes your bike more dynamic and faster in acceleration. At the same time, the TPU used is more resistant than butyl, which makes the tube particularly durable.

Note: TPU is a plastic material that does not stretch back under extreme deformation - unlike butyl, which has a shrinking behavior. TPU always needs a counterpart - in this case the carcass - to remain dimensionally stable. Therefore, you should pump the tube slightly during assembly (maximum 0.3 bar) and then mount it with the tire.
