The Storm Down Care Kit includes everything needed to maintain down-filled garments and equipment such as jackets, trousers, sleeping bags and gloves. The kit contains a dedicated Down Wash cleaning solution, a Down Proofer to renew the durable water repellency (DWR) and two dryer balls to maximize down loft during drying.
This care system lifts surface contaminants and cleans your gear without stripping the natural oils from the down feathers — essential for optimal insulation. After washing, the Down Proofer restores the water repellent finish, protecting the down from moisture and helping it retain its performance properties.
The formula is free from PFC, PFAS and PFOA, gentle on materials and improves breathability and thermal comfort of down-filled items.

How to Use
Place one down item into the washing machine without overloading.
Add 75 ml of Down Wash into the detergent compartment and 75 ml of Down Proofer into the softener compartment.
Select a 30 °C low-spin or synthetics cycle.
After washing, allow the item to drip for about 20 minutes.
Tumble dry on low heat with the dryer balls, periodically shaking the garment to evenly distribute the down.
