The Danner MTN45 Mid GTX combines modern hiking technology, stability and long-haul comfort in a versatile mid-height design. It is built for hiking in warm-to-cool conditions and is suitable for challenging trails, uneven terrain and extended days outdoors.

The upper is made from durable nubuck leather, offering a soft texture, good abrasion resistance and a relatively short break-in period. A protective polyurethane-coated leather rand around the heel and forefoot adds further protection against scuffs and abrasion.

For protection against wet weather, the boot uses GORE-TEX Invisible Fit technology. The waterproof and breathable membrane is bonded directly to the upper, helping maintain the flexibility and feel of the shoe while keeping water out.

Underfoot, the nitrogen-infused Danner EnduroFoam Plus midsole provides cushioning, shock absorption and energy return. Its wider and thicker construction is designed to provide a comfortable ride over long distances without unnecessary bulk.

The Vibram N45 Plus outsole with Megagrip provides reliable grip on both wet and dry surfaces. Its wider Traction Lug platform helps increase stability when travelling over uneven terrain.

A lightweight TPU rock plate provides additional underfoot protection and stability when hiking over rocks and rough terrain. The removable OrthoLite footbed combines different-density layers for cushioning and support, while its open-cell polyurethane construction promotes airflow and heat dissipation.

The DT-6 last, inspired by trail-running footwear, features an 8 mm heel-to-toe offset and a slightly roomier forefoot. This creates a stable platform while maintaining a versatile shape suitable for a variety of outdoor activities.

The MTN45 Mid GTX is also recraftable, allowing the life of the boot to be extended through eligible repair and resole services.
