The Black Diamond Distance 1500 is a high-performance headlamp engineered for ultrarunning, mountaineering, climbing, and any activity that demands dependable illumination throughout the night.
Featuring PowerTap™ Technology, it delivers an instant boost of up to 1500 lumens for short periods when maximum visibility is needed, such as route finding, identifying trail markers, or assessing technical terrain. Once released, the lamp automatically returns to the previously selected brightness level.
Constant Output technology maintains consistent brightness during operation, only switching to reserve mode when the battery reaches a low charge level. The headlamp offers three primary lighting modes—High (800 lm), Medium (300 lm), and Low (15 lm)—along with the temporary PowerTap™ Boost mode.
The rechargeable battery pack features a magnetic attachment and is fully interchangeable, allowing quick one-handed battery changes even while on the move. An integrated rear-facing red flashing light enhances visibility in low-light conditions.
The Comfort Cradle™ headband system provides a secure, stable fit while minimizing bounce during running. An included over-the-head strap offers additional stability for technical terrain, and the headlamp is compatible with most climbing helmets.
Rated IP67, the Distance 1500 is fully dustproof and waterproof for immersion in up to 1 metre of water for 30 minutes, making it suitable for demanding outdoor conditions.
