The jacket combines two different 3-layer constructions to balance durability, breathability and weight. More robust fabric is used in high-stress areas such as the shoulders, sleeves, hood and back, while lighter fabric is used where less reinforcement is required. The high collar protects the face and neck from wind, rain and snow, while the fully adjustable, helmet-compatible hood features a reinforced peak. Long side ventilation zippers can be operated even while wearing a backpack. The jacket also offers a practical pocket system, an extended reinforced back with an elastic waist element, adjustable hem and cuffs, numerous reflective details and a RECCO® reflector. All seams are fully taped, while the PFC-free DWR treatment provides additional protection against moisture.
